About 19 primary schools, under the Agriculture and Sanitation (Agri-San) project sponsored by Bwaila Rotary Club, are learning how to make own organic fertilizer from ecological sanitation (eco-san) toilets. We are engaged for the training of the schools to make the fertilizer from the composting toilets. Malawi has heavily depended on imported chemical fertilizer for too long. The schools and lead farmers are growing school gardens, and field crops with the organic fertilizer. On Tuesday, September 28th, 2021, we conducted trainings in 7 schools in T.A. Malili, Lilongwe. Bwaila Rotary Club has sponsored the composting toilet project for schools in Lilongwe rural since 2014, reaching out to 39 schools in total
