This Environmental Industries campus was initiated in 2012 at a time when it was a completely bare ground. Now, in 2020, it’s full of life. The campus is located right inside a crowded public market in Lilongwe. In this piece of land, measuring 15 by 45 meters, we grow naturally 27 types of crops using permaculture approaches. The same campuses a food forest and a factory for Bionitrate fertilizer. Bionitrate is organic nitrogen fertilizer that we make from well harvested and processed human urine. All the crops you see are applied with Bionitrate. No chemical fertilizers or pesticides are applied.
